Archery
Beginning/Intermediate Archery (ages 8+)
This course is designed to offer an environment in which the archer will learn the very basics of archery. Students will use a recurve style bow. Lessons learned will be range safety, whistle commands, the proper stance, draw and release of arrows starting at a 10-yard distance. Classes are designed for children, combined parent/child, and adults beginning at age eight. Please do not wear loose clothing. Location WRC Upper Gym. Intermediate II/Advanced Archery (ages 10+)
This course is designed to further develop your archery skills using elements of the National Training System (NTS). Additional equipment will be added as you advance your shooting technique and discussions will be held to develop your skills for recreational or tournament / competitive archery. Students are encouraged to bring their own equipment, however, all equipment is provided for use. Participation in the beginner course or previous archery experience required. Location WRC Upper Gym.
