Evergreen Park and Recreation District’s dance program is done in partnership with Evergreen Dance Center. Evergreen Dance Center offers a variety of recreational and competitive classes to ensure that each child has the opportunity to develop a well-rounded performing arts education. Our staff promotes discipline, creativity, and self-confidence by teaching the art of movement. Students are encouraged to perform with grace and confidence and grow as a performer and an individual.

Class Offerings

  1. Ballet (3.6 to 18 years)

Classes are held at Wulf or Buchanan Park Recreation Center


Pre-Ballet (3.6 to 5 Years)

Introductory ballet and creative movement. Exceptions at teacher’s discretion.  

Ballet 1 (5 to 7 Years)

Introductory ballet and creative movement. Classical ballet foundation.

Ballet 2 (7 to 8 Years)

Beginning ballet. Classical ballet foundation.

Ballet 3 (8 to 10 Years)

Beginning/Intermediate ballet. Classical ballet foundation.

Ballet 4 (10 to 16 Years)

This ballet class runs twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays, teaching intermediate/advanced ballet technique. Teacher placement/approval.

Ballet 5 / Pointe (13 to 18 Years)

This ballet class runs twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays, teaching advanced ballet and pointe technique.  Teacher placement/approval.

Registration Fee and Payment Policy/Multi-Class Discount - 

The Evergreen Dance Center Program starts in September and runs through the end of May. Classes are continuous, but new students are welcome any time during the year. You must first contact the Evergreen Dance Center before enrolling online. Contact via phone at 303-670-7221 or by emailing the Center to get your dancer placed into class.

An annual registration fee of $25 is due in September or at the time of registration. All continuing students must register each year. 

Tuition is based on a yearly rate in which holidays and recesses are excluded. This yearly rate is divided into nine installments, which are due on the first of each month, September through May. No credits, refunds, or transfers will be issued for missed classes. Full monthly tuition must be paid on time for students to participate in class.

A multi-class discount applies when a student, or sibling, is taking two or more dance classes. A 30% discount will be applied to each class. These discounts will be applied on a month-to-month basis. You will not get the discount if you pay for multiple months in advance. The discounts will become available at the beginning of each month, for that month.
