[ARCHIVED] Cell Towers at BPRC for First Responder Network

cupola design

What is happening at BPRC?   EPRD has received a few questions regarding the structures being placed on the roof of BPRC.  The 3 cupolas are being installed on the roof to help conceal the cell tower antennas being placed by Nexius/AT&T for the First Responder Network (FirstNet). FirstNet is a nationwide single network allowing first responders across jurisdictions to communicate. This installation was approved by the EPRD Board of Directors in June 2020.  The design meets the highest design standards by the county and all the necessary applications were filed with the county by Nexius/AT&T.   We realize some residents may not be pleased about the aesthetics, but these will look different once they are able to finalize the remaining features of the cupolas over the next few weeks.   Below is a link to additional information regarding this project.
