Rebecca Davis

Position: Second Vice President
Term: Expires May 2027

"I have been a resident of the Evergreen community for 3.5 years. My family and I chose this area because of its strong sense of community and access to the outdoors, and we have been actively involved ever since.  I care deeply about the health and vitality of our community. As a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), I’ve seen firsthand how preventive health and access to supportive environments dramatically impact long-term well-being. Research consistently shows that access to parks, open space, and recreational programming is associated with lower rates of chronic conditions such as heart disease, stroke, obesity, and depression.

EPRD plays a critical role in creating those opportunities for movement, connection, and wellness. I wanted to serve because recreation is not just about fun — it is a public health investment in our community. My goal is to help ensure EPRD remains a strong, sustainable, and forward-thinking district that supports lifelong health. I believe recreation districts are on the front lines of preventive health — providing safe spaces for activity, youth engagement, and social connection. I want to support responsible stewardship of resources while ensuring access to high-quality programs and outdoor spaces that promote physical, mental, and social well-being for residents of all ages.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve and excited to learn from fellow board members, staff, and residents. I welcome community input and believe the best outcomes come from thoughtful collaboration and open communication."
