The Bristlecone Lounge is the heart of EPRD's Active Adult Programs, and we would love for you to join us as we give weekly updates about the program, discuss interesting topics and news from around the community, and share in the most average cup of coffee with your friends! Just kidding, the snacks are the best part!
This is a FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC event taking place every Monday in the Bristlecone Lounge at BPRC from 10:00am-12:00PM. We invite all community members to find out about our program and all that EPRD offers! This is a great time to sign up for memberships and register for events and classes, so bring your friends and family!

Focus on Fun: Photography Classes for Active Adults!
Please join EPRD's Active Adult Programs and the Evergreen Camera Club for Focus on Fun: a series of Senior's Photography Classes!
Explore your creative side and learn how to capture the beauty of life and those cherished moments all around you! From framing the perfect shot, playing with light and color, to figuring out what all those camera settings actually mean, this is your chance to learn how to take pictures and work a camera like the pros!
Each month, we will cover a variety of topics and focus on taking the pictures that you want to take and keep for your memories and how to make your camera or phone work the way that you would like. These courses will be taught by members of the Evergreen Camera Club, and will include both indoor and outdoor shoots, at different locations and times throughout the year to allow access to those breathtaking moments we enjoy so much in and around our town.
These classes will also incorporate different Camera Technology, including professional model cameras, older digital cameras, and even the phones sitting in your pockets! We will be meeting once a month in the Bristlecone Lounge at the Buchanan Rec Center, and will explore other locations as the weather gets nicer!
These classes will be held on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 1:00 PM starting on January 20th, 2026.

Please join EPRD's Active Adults Program and Seniors4Wellness for the Monthly Free Concert Series!
Hosted on the last Sunday of each month at the Bergen Peak Room at BPRC, this is a free music performance for older adults in and around the Evergreen Community! Each month, we will host and spotlight a local musician to perform for us in their own, unique stylings. Featuring sing-a-longs, original compositions, and covers of those classic songs you grew up with, we will have it all!
Snacks and light refreshments will be provided for you during these concerts. Lineup and featured artists to be announced soon! No registration necessary, EPRD Membership not required to attend. We hope to see you there!

EPRD and Active Adult Programs are excited to announce The Green Thumb, a Gardening Club for Seniors!
Have you ever dreamed of a beautiful garden where you can relax and enjoy nature? EPRD’s Active Adult Programs are working to make that a reality! Join us as we start the new year off right with our own Gardening Program!
Each week, we will be working together to build our own Garden with flowers, vegetables, bushes, and herbs for all participants to enjoy! We will start with indoor gardening and getting our plants and supplies started, then move outdoors once the weather is more permittable for growing.
All participants MUST register to participate in these activities. Registration is required only once for all 12 weeks of meetings. All supplies will be provided by EPRD and covered by the Registration Fees for participation. Please bring only yourself and a smile to participate!

Join us for mid-morning Guided Meditation!
At its core, guided meditation is where an experienced practitioner or teacher verbally guides you through a meditation session.
Unlike silent meditation, guided meditation offers a structured approach, making it accessible and appealing to those who may find the void of silence daunting or who benefit from targeted topics and skills.
In guided meditation, the guide leads the practitioner through a specific meditation skill or skills, from breathing exercises to visualizations to body scans and more. The guide's voice and instructions provide a focal point, centering the practitioner's attention on the present moment and the specific objectives of the meditation.

Line Dancing - 6-week Course!
Join EPRD and Treena McCurdy for the first ever Complete Line Dancing Course!
Kick up your heels & join us for a fun-filled 6-week course of Senior Line Dancing (ages 50+) in the Bergen-Peak Room at BPRC from 2-3:30 PM. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or a beginner, Treena McCurdy, our talented instructor, will guide you through the steps to keep you moving and grooving!
Over the 6 weeks of classes, participants will learn step-by-step instruction on a variety of Line Dances and Styles. This will culminate in the 6th week being a "round-up" of all of the dances learned with light refreshment and continuous dancing! Bring your friends and family to join you in this fun-filled Active Adults dance program! Space is limited - register today!

Please join EFR, Seniors4Welness, and EPRD as we host Q & A with EFR!
Einar Jensen with Evergreen Fire Rescue will be leading these educational sessions, where EFR invites adults 55+ to take part in a series of informative and engaging community outreach meetings designed to promote safety, awareness, and stronger neighborhood connections. These sessions provide an opportunity for older adults to meet with local Firefighters/Paramedics to ask questions and learn about these important topics, such as emergency preparedness, home safety, and a host of others! Snacks and light refreshments will be available at each of these sessions as well!
These free sessions require no registration online, and are free to all EPRD members and non-members alike. They will be hosted at the Bristlecone Lounge on the first Wednesday of each month at 12:00PM starting in January 2026. We hope to see you there!
