Youth Mountain Biking


Mountain Bike Class for Striders & Beginning Pedalers
Early Riders is a fun, confidence-building mountain bike class for kids on strider bikes or just learning to pedal!
Set at beautiful Alderfer/3 Sisters park, this class focuses on trail etiquette, riding safely in a group, and developing basic bike skills through games and guided practice.
Riders will start with small, approachable obstacles and progress toward bigger features and beginner-friendly singletrack as skills and confidence grow.
The goal is to build happy, capable riders who love being on the trail!
Early Riders will meet at the Alderfer Barn on Sundays from 10:00am - 11:00am.
*** All participants must provide their own bicycle and helmet ***as well as water and a snack

Calling all Middle School Mountain Bikers! This awesome program will help you take your mountain biking to the next level with technical skills training, bike maintenance tips, and endurance building. Focusing on learning and following the rules of the trails while practicing to clean and conquer features like rock gardens, switchbacks, off camber turns and more, all while riding with and making new friends in the process. Meet at Wulf / EHS MTB Skills Course
Volunteers are needed to help lead these individual groups!
When:
Session 1 - Sundays 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM & Tuesdays 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM
Session 2 - Sundays 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM

JR's Mountain Bike Class
This class helps youth riders build confidence and core mountain bike skills while riding real trails at Alderfer Three Sisters Park.
Riders will learn proper trail etiquette, how to ride safely in a group, and practice essential skills like pedaling, braking, cornering, and shifting, then apply them to trail features and obstacles.
Participants will be grouped into Green (beginner) and Blue (intermediate) levels.
Riders should be able to ride confidently with the ability to steer, brake and pedal independently. Riders who need more support with these fundamentals should consider enrolling in our Early Riders course!
When: Mondays, 4:30PM- 6:00PM

- No make-up classes or refunds are offered for missed classes
- Class refunds must be made at least 1 week before the session begins
- No refunds are given once the session has begun
- Exceptions will be at the Program Supervisor's discretion
