The Election is Coming Up!

Evergreen Park and Recreation District will hold a regular election on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 to fill three (3) vacancies on its Board of Directors. The polls will be open at Buchanan Park Recreation Center from 7:00am-7:00pm on this day.

If you are unable to vote in-person on the day of the election, you are invited to submit an Absentee Ballot Application which can be found on our election page here. Eligible Electors who submit an Absentee Ballot Application will be mailed a ballot once their application is processed. The deadline to submit an Absentee Ballot Application is 4:00pm on Tuesday, April 29th. This is the last day that any ballots will be mailed. Any applications received after this deadline will not be accepted.

Board Update

As of April 21, 2025, Nina Armah has stepped down from her position on the Evergreen Park & Recreation District (EPRD) Board of Directors. We are grateful for her dedicated service as Board Secretary over the past two years and wish her all the best in her future endeavors.

Because we are too close to the 2025 election, the vacant seat cannot be included on this year’s ballot. Instead, the EPRD Board of Directors will appoint someone to fill the position. This appointment will take place after the election, and the new Director will serve out the remainder of the term, which runs through the next election cycle in 2027.
