A MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Happy New Year!

January is traditionally a time of reflection, hope and goals.  As we welcome in 2026, I find myself reflecting on how grateful I am to live and serve in this community, and I wanted to share some of EPRD’s goals for this upcoming year.  We have a multitude of facility improvements and new building projects set for this year, including breaking ground on our new accessible playground, performance pavilion and all wheels skate park. We also have a goal to begin construction on the Buchanan aquatics expansion, as well as develop the planning and design of our multi-purpose gym/field house.  What goals have you set?  I hope they include trying a new class or experience at one of our facilities. Our recreation centers offer a wide variety of classes that will appeal to all of your family members, in all age groups.  Did you know we offer adult gymnastics, adult volleyball, and aerial fabrics classes?  Have you checked out our Active Adult programing?  Personally, my kids love the camp programs we offer -- registration will open up in February for this Summer!  Explore our website to see what other classes or programs might be of interest to you and check out the newsletter each month for our highlighted programs.   Through the highs and lows of the past year, we have been #EvergreenStrong, and I am proud to be a part of this EPRD team that serves our amazing community.

EPRD will host quarterly community meetings open to the public. These meetings will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams. The first community meeting will take place on Thursday, February 5th at 5:00 p.m. Additional details and access information can be found on our Board Meetings page. We look forward to connecting with you and hope you'll join us!

Highlighted Program of the Month

WORKPLACE WELLNESS PASS

Do you want to show your employees that you value their wellness?  Sign up for Workplace Wellness.  It doesn't cost the business and it provides a discounted pass to employees that makes prioritizing their health more affordable.  Steps to sign-up below.  

  1. Businesses must commit to offering “Workplace Wellness” as part of their new hire practices and must complete the Workplace Wellness Discount Request Form. The form is available at the rec centers front desks or by emailing info@eprdco.gov
  2. Employer must have a current FEIN#.
  3. Employer must commit to keeping EPRD updated with employee information annually.
  4. 3-month pass: $95 paid by Employee.
  5. Employee/Patron must provide a recent paycheck stub as proof of current employment.
  6. Full details available at front desk of both recreation centers.

    Gymnastics

    • Doodle Bugs: Click here to register
      • Parent-child art and gymnastics class. Helps develop social skills, gross motor, fine motor and friendships. Class is 45 min of tumble bugs and 30 mins of art. Then a really good nap at home!
      • Tuesdays at 9:15 AM & Thursdays at 10:15 AM
      • Ages Toddler - 2 years

      • A multiple skills experience, focusing on the arts, dance & gymnastics! We will split into 3 groups and rotate between each event. Come meet some friends, learn a new skill and explore with us!

      • A FUNdamental coed gymnastics class focusing on learning skills through obstacle courses, challenges and games. A great class for beginners to try out gymnastics in a FUN and engaging way!

    Winter Sports

    INSPIRE - Denver Field Trips!
