A MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR

Happy Holidays Evergreen,

As we wrap up the 2025 year, I wanted to express my gratitude for your continued support of our Park and Recreation Department.  I am so honored to be working with a board and leading a team that is enthusiastically executing the projects and expansion that you have voted in and asked for.  From our grassroot support all the way to a ringing endorsement of our plans from the county planning and zoning comission, this community has stepped up as fantastic shareholders in our growth and development.  I look forward to sharing updates on our progress and invite you to follow along on our progress.  You can see all of the plans and the latest updates on our dedicated projects web page.  

As we look to the new year, we want to encourage you to check out our new programming, try an unfamiliar class, join your fellow neighbors in an activity or just come and enjoy the beautiful facilities that you help make happen.

Board of Director Updates

  • The December Board of Director's Meeting will take place on Tuesday, December 9th at 5:00pm at Buchanan Park Recreation Center, with a virtual option via Microsoft Teams. 
  • The Board of Director's have published a Progress Report on Execution of Strategic Plan Priorities that highlights EPRD’s progress on its Strategic Plan, including major steps toward new recreation facilities and Buchanan Park improvements. It outlines top projects—such as a new indoor pool, park upgrades, and a future gym/fieldhouse—guided by community input and funding. With recent county approvals, these upgrades are set to move forward over the next few years.  Read the full press release here.

    Gymnastics

    • Doodle Bugs: Click here to register
      • Parent-child art and gymnastics class. Helps develop social skills, gross motor, fine motor and friendships. Class is 45 min of tumble bugs and 30 mins of art. Then a really good nap at home!
      • Tuesdays at 9:15 AM & Thursdays at 10:15 AM

      • A multiple skills experience, focusing on the arts, dance & gymnastics! We will split into 3 groups and rotate between each event. Come meet some friends, learn a new skill and explore with us!
