Adult Tai Chi Chuan

Tai Chi Chuan is a martial art system that operates on the practical application of the philosophical Daoist concept of Tai Chi, which is an integral component of many Chinese disciplines including Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chinese Geomancy (Feng Shui), Divination (I Ching) and Chinese Astrology.

The instructor for the Chen Man Ching form Tai Chi classes is Janet Christensen.

Janet Christensen had a long career in health care that included a focus on the geriatric population. She has been practicing and teaching Tai Chi for beginners for the past several years. She is certified in several programs through the Tai Chi for Health Institute. Her classes are small so that each participant can receive individual attention. All movements are accessible for seniors, can be modified if needed and are practiced while standing and sitting. All movements are slow, gentle, and continuous with an emphasis on mental focus that helps with memory, keeping your body upright which helps to prevent falls along with several other important principles.
